A Message from Our Chairman

Chairman The Hertfordshire Crimestoppers Board, with its skilled and committed members, is dedicated to serving the community in partnership with the Police and the media in solving crime.

Importantly we are giving members of the public, who may be reluctant to contact the police for fear of reprisal, with a means, through our dedicated national Crimestoppers telephone number 0800 555 111 of reporting criminal activity in a anonymous and non-traceable manner.

A team of expert Crimestoppers call handlers are available 24 hours a day every day to take calls and pass on information to the police without disclosing who it was that gave the information.

Although we support the police we are an independent charity with a board made up of volunteers who live or work in different parts of Hertfordshire and who offer a wide range of skills to the Board. We are always looking for new members who can make our team stronger.

On this website you can learn more about the efforts our Board is making in helping the police to detect crime through campaigns that reflect local policing priorities and other work we are undertaking in the community. We are especially proud of our work in schools in Hertfordshire.

I encourage you to return to this site regularly to keep up to date with Hertfordshire Crimestoppers news, campaigns and events but most important of all remember if you feel you cannot go directly to the police your call to Crimestoppers could still prove to be most valuable in bringing an offender to justice.
