Suspect Cannabis Houses

Drugs have an effect on all our neighbourhoods. Currently Hertfordshire Constabulary, in partnership with Hertfordshire Crimestoppers and Hertswatch, are seeking to identify residential properties being used in the production of Cannabis.
The following may be in an indication of such a property:

• Curtains / blinds may be permanently drawn
• There may be signs of excessive heat and condensation on windows and walls
• There may be intense smells near the address
• Different occupants may visit at all times of day
• Access to the property may be limited to the front porch / doorstep
• On arrival at the property there is much activity, which may include some structural alterations being made, but thereafter they are very quiet
• The premises are usually let properties with the landlords having no knowledge of the criminal activity
