Reward offered for information on fatal accident
Members of the public could be eligible for a reward of up to £1,000 if they have information on a fatal road traffic accident which killed a 40 year old Hertfordshire man.
The reward is available from the independent charity Crimestoppers for information leading to the arrest and charge of the individual(s) responsible for the incident. At approximately 1.20pm on Saturday July 16th a silver Audi and white van collided on Tylers Way in Watford on the A41. 3 men, thought to be travelling in the Audi, fled the scene before emergency services arrived. Jason Crane from Croxley Green tragically passed away at the scene.

Ann Scott, Eastern Regional Manager for Crimestoppers said: “This is a truly tragic incident which has robbed a family of a loving dad and husband. Please come forward to the independent charity Crimestoppers so this awful crime can be solved. We do not ask for your name and no call is traced or recorded. You won’t have to give a statement, speak to the police or go to court – we only want to know what you know, not who you are. In the 23 years that Crimestoppers has been running we have never broken our anonymity promise.”
Peter Camilletti, chair of the Hertfordshire Crimestoppers Committee, added “Did someone you know display unusual behaviour that day? Has someone confessed to being involved? Perhaps someone witnessed the event or saw suspicious activity in the area? Did they see another car pick these three men up? Crimestoppers wants to receive any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem”.
Although there have been arrests the Police are still looking for people who may
have been involved in this incident. The three young men who fled the scene are described
as all wearing jeans and they are believed to have walked north along the A41 towards
the roundabout with Eltsree Road.
Only information given to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 that leads to an arrest and
charge is eligible for the reward. Information can be given online at www.crimestoppers-
