RESPECT 2010
This years RESPECT project was the third such program funded by Hertfordshire Crimestoppers.
Nearly 200 young people from year 9 of Highfield School took part in this year's respect project. Of those, 20 received Gold, 48 Silver and 125 Bronze Awards
The program ran over 8 weeks each team running ten sessions. The pupils discussed what is meant by RESPECT and covered areas such as bullying, antisocial behaviour, reporting crime and good neighbours by presenting their ideas.
They also enacted a complete Court scene. This program helps them to express their own views, listen to their peers and learn more about the world around them.
Participents were presented with their awards by Peter Camilletti, Chair of Hertfordshire Cirmestoppers.
The Headmaster of Highfiield School also received an award from the RESPECT team.
