Appeal following an assault in Royston

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following an assault in Royston on December 28.

At around 10.50am the victim, a 55 year old local man, was grabbed from behind as he walked his dog along Therfield Heath, just south of the hockey pitch. A second offender demanded the man hand over his mobile phone. The victim’s dog then barked at the suspects and they ran off.
The victim was not injured.

The first suspect is described as being in his mid-teens, of a medium build and 5ft tall. He was wearing a black hooded top, blue jeans, white trainers and a multi-colored bobble hat under his hood which he wore up.
       

The second offender is described as also being in his mid-teens, of a medium build and 5ft tall. He was wearing a black hooded top with the hood up and a hat.
