Operation Scorpion
Hertfordhsire Crimestoppers was asked by Herts Police to work with them on Operation Scorpion.
A plan was submitted, later developed with the police members, phase one of which involved putting up boards in selected areas appealing for intelligence on specific crimes to be reported to the police or anonymously to Crimestoppers. This has proved to be extremely successful, to such an extent that a letter of thanks has been received from the Chief Constable.
Phase two was to run Fearless Programs in senior schools using the sixth forms. The program at Hemel Hempstead School has been successfully completed and the program at Cavendish School is drawing to a close.
