Website 'Hits' on the up and up!

The number of 'hits' or user accesses to the Hertfordshire Crimestoppers was just short of 3,500 which is two and a half times greater than the numbers achieved two years ago and three and a half times more than in our first year (2005).

We must be doing something right but are always pleased to receive any feedback with ideas that would help to make the site more interesting and informative.

How Can You Help

Crimestoppers is a charity and relies on the support of businesses and individuals for finance. There are a number of ways you can help us:

  • Pay for a poster campaign that catches criminals
  • Support the design and printing of information leaflets
  • Sponsor an event that will generate good publicity
  • Make a donation to our work. £200 covers the cost of arresting one criminal
  • Publicise Crimestoppers in your in-house magazine
  • Include our freephone number in customer mailings or on your web site
  • Choose Crimestoppers Trust as your "Charity of the Year"
  • Provide seconded staff who can bring their skills to the board of Hertfordshire Crimestoppers

Do you care about detecting crime in Hertfordshire?

Why not volunteer to join the Board for Hertfordshire Crimestoppers that started in January 2005?

We are looking for additional representation on the Board from the Districts of Hertford, Borehamwood, and Broxbourne.

What skills can you bring with you to support this worthy Charitable cause? For further information please contact us by clicking here.

Raffle Prizes

Hertfordshire Crimestoppers fundraise throughout the year to support our crime reduction initiatives in schools and communities throughout the County. We run a number of raffles at events, with many of the prizes being donated by our board members.

We would appreciate your help by donating any new items you think would be suitable as a raffle prize. If you are a private individual have you been given anything you know you will never use but someone else might like. If you are a business would you like to donate a prize or let us have any promotional gifts you no longer need. If you wish we can also acknowledge your name or business on this website, for a few weeks, as a prize donor.

Joint Event with Pepper Children's Nurses Raises £600

On 12th September 2009 Hertfordshire Crimestoppers & Pepper Children's Nurses ran a joint fundraising event at the Bushey Police Sports Club.

We were entertained by Kevin Hill Jr and Debbie Lee singing Buble and Streisand songs. The headline act were The Dreamers reprising some of their old hits and those of some other bands of the 60's. A buffet meal, a raffle and an auction rounded off the evening. £1200 profit was split between the two charities and will go towards the valuable projects we both undertake.
Thank you to everyone who supported the event.

Raffle Tops £400

At a raffle on Friday 19th June 2009 we raised £442 to fund our projects. We would like to thank Chrysalis Osteopathic Clinic (Watford) and Inner Body Harmony (Radlett) for their generous prizes.

Flop Idol Raises £700

The 'Flop Idol' evening that gave the opportunity for attendees to display their singing skills (or lack of!) in front of a live audience raised £700 for our funds.
We thank Ian and helpers for their hard work in organising and all our supporters for turning out on what was not the best of evenings weather-wise.
